What channel is CBS on DirecTV?
Don’t be scrambling around the TV channels right before Super Bowl 55 kickoff.
It’s almost certain to be an exciting and memorable battle for the NFL‘s Lombardi Trophy on Feb. 7 when Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs meet Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Super Bowl LV at the Bucs’ own Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, FL.
It’ll be a battle between two of the NFL’s undisputed best teams during the 2020 season, both holding true perfect balances of offensive and defensive production. In addition to the youth vs. experience quarterback battle, the game will be filled with plenty of star power, such as Travis Kelce, Tyreek Hill, Rob Gronkowski, Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Le’Veon Bell Antonio Brown, Devin White and Frank Clark, among others.
Where can I find my local CBS channel on DirecTV to watch Super Bowl 55?
Under normal circumstances, with FOX broadcasting last year’s championship game, Super Bowl LV would have been broadcasted on NBC this year. This year’s game, however, was traded by NBC to CBS in exchange for next year’s Super Bowl 55, which would air in February 2022 — the same time NBC will be airing the 2022 Winter Olympics.
These broadcasters, including CBS, are networks that are filled with local stations and affiliates all across the U.S. This means that the television channel for the network in one area may not be the same as the other.
Fortunately, these channels, especially CBS, are always one of the very first channels you will come across on your television’s channel lineup (ex: Channel 2 in New York).
Jim Nantz will be on the call for the play-by-play, with Tony Romo providing color commentary, along with Tracy Wolfson, Evan Washburn and Jay Feely as the evening’s sideline reporters.
If you can’t get to a TV, you can stream Super Bowl LV for free on CBSSports.com or on the CBS Sports App. If you’re subscribed to CBS All Access, you can get the game through there as well.
Super Bowl 55 will kickoff at 6:30 p.m. ET on February 7.
