4. Slow down the Buccaneers’ pass rush

Led by a front seven that includes the likes of Jason Pierre-Paul, 2019 NFL sack champion Shaq Barrett as well as fearsome Ndamukong Suh (who is playing in his second Super Bowl in 3  years), Todd Bowles’ defense puts a lot of heat on opposing quarterbacks.

The club punished Green Bay Packers’ veteran Aaron Rodgers in the NFC title game to the tune of five sacks – all of those via Barrett (3) and Pierre-Paul (2). Rodgers and company certainly missed quality left tackle David Bakhtiari.

And Andy Reid’s club will also be missing their starting left tackle as well as Eric Fisher, who suffered an Achilles injury in the second half of the AFC title game. “To not be able to play in the Super Bowl after such an amazing season is gut-wrenching,” said the quality performer (via Nick Sloan of CBS’ KCTV). “While that may be, I can’t wait to be out there cheering my guys on to be back-to-back World Champs.”

When the teams met earlier this year, Patrick Mahomes and Tyreek Hill put on a show in a 27-24 win at Tampa. The former threw for 462 yards and three scores, all to Hill and most of that in the first half. The Bucs finished with two sacks and one resulted in a Mahomes’ lost fumble. Can the Chiefs’ offense keep their quarterback out of harm’s way?
