Eagles: 3 teams that should trade for Carson Wentz

Could you imagine him sharing a quarterback room with Nick Foles again?

After four painfully frustrating years, the Chicago Bears seem to be moving on from Mitchell Trubisky as the quarterback position. The Bears infamously traded up from No. 3 to No. 2 to draft Trubisky out of North Carolina, ahead of Patrick Mahomes out of Texas Tech and Deshaun Watson out of Clemson. Though Trubisky has won games in Chicago, he is just a guy playing quarterback.

While it remains to be seen if Jared Goff will have any staying power with the Detroit Lions after being traded over from the Los Angeles Rams for Matthew Stafford, the Bears cannot keep finishing fourth in the NFC North quarterbacking standings and expect to win divisions and playoff games. It may come at a steep price, but trading for Wentz is something the Bears must consider.

Head coach Matt Nagy would have a better quarterbacking talent over Trubisky if they traded for Wentz. This is a critical year for him and general manager Ryan Pace. The excuses are getting old and Chicagoans are starting to turn on the entire operation. A way the Bears could mitigate this is add a quarterbacking talent akin to what Jay Cutler was in his prime. It might work out for them.

What would be exceptionally weird about Wentz being traded to the Bears is he would theoretically be reunited with Nick Foles in Chicago. Of course, Foles could go back to Philadelphia and play in a stadium that already has a statue of him out in front of it. Chicago may be better served trading up and drafting a player out of college, but if they want to trade, go all-in for Wentz.
