Patrick Mahomes looks like half a billion bucks in his Super Bowl 55 travel attire.

When you have $500 million bucks, you should dress like you have $500 million bucks. That is exactly what Patrick Mahomes did when he boarded the Kansas City Chiefs‘ flight to Super Bowl 55 down in Tampa, Florida on Saturday afternoon.

Waiting for the Chiefs down in Tampa will be the home-team Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This is the first time a team has played in their home stadium for a Super Bowl. Of course, Tom Brady is quarterbacking that team in his impressive 10th trip to the Super Bowl. However, should the Chiefs win, they will be the first team to repeat since Brady’s 2003-04 New England Patriots.

Part of being a champion is conducting yourself like one. Mahomes could have gone with a less eye-popping get-up, but that would not be his style. The red tie is only to be outdone by the red dress shoes. The only thing that was missing from Mahomes’ outfit were his socks. Where were his socks? Is Mahomes going sock-less on the Kansas City tarmac while snow is falling down?

The weather could not be more different down in Tampa. While rain could be in the forecast for the game, snow is not happening along the Florida Gulf Coast by any stretch of the imagination. With that in mind, we do have to wonder if this being a de facto home game for the Buccaneers will help them pull off the upset of Mahomes’ Chiefs in Super Bowl 55. Brady does play for them, guys.

Even if Mahomes does not win another Lombardi Trophy, he arrived in Tampa in style on Saturday.
