Antoine Winfield taunts Tyreek Hill at end of Super Bowl 55
By Mark Powell
Help wasn’t on the way for the Kansas City Chiefs in Tampa Bay on Sunday.
Tyreek Hill and Antoine Winfield have history, and the latter finally gets the last word after Hill’s Chiefs delivered a regular season loss to the Bucs in Week 13.
Hill torched the Bucs that day, notching 269 receiving yards on 13 catches. On his second touchdown catch, Hill put up the deuces to signal to the entire Bucs’ secondary that they could not cover him.
Super Bowl Sunday has been a different story, however. The Chiefs offense never got off the ground, in part due to the Bucs interior pass rush. Patrick Mahomes struggled to set his feet, and was often left running for his life.
With just minutes left in the game, Winfield and the Bucs forced another turnover on downs, and the rookie defensive back had a message for Hill in the process.
The Chiefs ran into a buzz-saw in Super Bowl 55
Tom Brady and the Buccaneers offense had a productive display, with TB12 likely taking home the Super Bowl MVP award. Yet, it was the defensive product which deserves far more credit.
Todd Bowles may very well get another head coaching shot based on this game alone, making the Chiefs offense look rather human.
