Chiefs fans are shocked and saddened to see their team lose Super Bowl 55 to the Buccaneers.
The Kansas City Chiefs ended up on the wrong end of a blowout in Super Bowl LV, as Tom Brady, Todd Bowles, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers dominated the game in all phases to win Tampa’s second Super Bowl in franchise history.
Fans in Kansas City, who aren’t used to seeing Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes get destroyed like that, weren’t taking the loss very well.
Chiefs fans didn’t like seeing their beloved team get worked in the Super Bowl
Fans pointed the finger at the offensive line, as their backups failed to stop Tampa’s much-vaunted defense even a little bit.
The offensive line couldn’t even block for one play.

Mahomes tried his best, but it’s hard to win a game when you’re under pressure on almost every play.
Mahomes literally busting 360 breakdancing no scopes 30 yards deep cause our offensive line doesn’t think they’re playing in the Super Bowl.

Tyrann Mathieu has been getting burnt all night, and Chiefs fans aren’t thrilled with how much talking he’s doing.
@Mathieu_Era is the absolute definition of fake tough guy. All bark zero bite.

Reid and OC Eric Bieniemy were also getting grilled, as their screen-heavy gameplan drew the ire of some Chiefs fans.

Perhaps letting Mahomes actually use his arm would’ve been a better strategy?
Find someone as committed as Andy Reid is to running screens.

One fan called this game the worst performance he’s ever seen during the Reid era.
Mahomes had some very nice throws dropped by wide receivers, leading some fans to defend his play as the result of a poor performance from the other 45 guys on the active roster.
In 10 years when someone says Patrick Mahomes played bad in Super Bowl LV, I will have to fight the urge not to punch them in the face. He has been unreal. Absolutely bonkers.

Ultimately, the lack of depth due to injuries did in Kansas City.
The Chiefs lost Fisher, LDT, Osemele, Schwartz and Niang this year. The OL wasn't under-invested-in. It just got torched by three season-ending injuries and two opt-outs.

Still, with all of their offensive talent, they’ll likely make a run next year.

Kansas City will be back in the postseason hunt in 2021, but they have to take their medicine after getting schooled. Hopefully, Mahomes and Reid take some lessons from this game and come back with an even more potent offensive attack next season as Mahomes looks for his second ring.
