Super Bowl 55 concession prices are predictably ridiculous
By Amy Kaplan
Super Bowl 55 concession prices are through the roof.
If you have tickets to Super Bowl 55 this year (or any year really) it’s safe to say you aren’t too worried about cutting costs. Your tickets probably set you back a pretty penny and now we know the food will be insanely overpriced … because of course.
Here’s what you’ll have to pay for some of the more popular food items.
A beer at Super Bowl 55 cost you around $18
A beer will cost you about as much as a meal for two, and the BBQ platter is a whopping $22, although there’s no indication what will be included in the platter.
These prices are high, as expected, but at a time when many Americans are struggling to pay their bills … ah, forget it. If you’re at the Super Bowl you probably aren’t having trouble making rent.
The thing is … when it comes to stadium food, it’s not all that overpriced. A beer at a regular Dodgers game in Los Angeles will cost you close to $18 as well.
So, hopefully, you figured out how to smuggle beer in your bra or popcorn in your shoes if you don’t want to end up broke by Monday.
