A swarm of Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans crowded a Kansas City Chiefs team bus, requiring a police escort for the Super Bowl losers to leave Raymond James Stadium.

As Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans celebrated in the streets after their team won Super Bowl 55, they found a Kansas City Chiefs team bus and completely surrounded it. The Chiefs needed a police escort to be on the merry way out of town.

Not only was this the Buccaneers’ first Super Bowl title in 18 years, but this was also the first time a team got to play in their home stadium in the Super Bowl. With the Buccaneers blowing out the Chiefs 31-9 on Sunday night, this sort of thing was bound to happen, regardless of if there was a global pandemic going on in the world or not. Buccaneers fans were going to celebrate any way.

How did the Buccaneers win Super Bowl 55 so easily over the Chiefs?

Kansas City entered Super Bowl LV as a slight “road” favorite over the “hometown” Buccaneers. While it was not shocking that the Buccaneers ended up winning, what did catch us by surprise was how lopsided their victory was. The high-octane offense of the Chiefs managed just nine points and did not hit pay dirt a single time. Rob Gronkowski scored more points than the Chiefs.

What was the biggest key in this game was Buccaneers defensive coordinator Todd Bowles eating Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy alive. Kansas City had no answer for the relentless pass rush of the Buccaneers. With Kansas City being down both starting tackles, Patrick Mahomes and company had no chance to compete against the most complete team in the NFL this past season.

Leave it to 2020 for the Tampa Bay Area to become “A City of Champions.”
