These are the predictions I made in the preseason that I still believed in after week 1:

Nyheim Hines will be the highest scoring RB on the Colts.

Incorrect. While Hines outperformed most expectations, finishing as RB16, he only outscored Jonathan Taylor in four games, and was outscored by Taylor by 59.6 points overall. This prediction was made in the preseason, when Taylor and Marlon Mack would likely have been splitting the early-down role. My assumption was that Hines would be the only back with a defined full role. Once Mack got hurt and Taylor assumed that full role, this prediction was bound to fail.

Dallas Goedert will outscore Zach Ertz in at least half of the Eagles’ games.

Correct! Goedert outscored Ertz in exactly 8 of the Eagles games. In four of those games, Goedert played and Ertz didn’t, so Goedert outscored him by default. There were another four games that Ertz played without Goedert, so in the 8 games that they both played, Goedert outscored Ertz in exactly half of those as well.

In games in which Kareem Hunt plays, Nick Chubb will not be a top 20 RB this season

Incorrect. Kareem Hunt played every game, and Nick Chubb was RB13 overall. This is despite Chubb missing 4.5 games. Excluding his 4.3 point game in week 4, Chubb averaged 18.49 points per game, which would have been good for 5th best average among RBs who played at least 4 games.

Malcolm Brown will be the Rams RB you want

Incorrect. To be fair, there was no Rams RB you want. Darrell Henderson finished as RB33, Brown finished as RB43, and Cam Akers finished as RB50. None of the three averaged 10 points per game. One saving grace for this prediction: Malcom Brown was the only one of the three who was active for all 16 team games.

Mike Evans will not be a top 20 WR

Incorrect. Evans was WR11 overall and WR16 in Points per Game. Tom Brady had a better rapport with Evans than expected, aided by Chris Godwin missing 5 games this season as compared to none missed by Evans.
