Rob Gronkowski stopped by at Disney World on Monday to celebrate the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Super Bowl 55 win over the Kansas City Chiefs.

It is an annual tradition for members of the winning Super Bowl team to head down to Orlando, Fla. to go to Disney World. On Sunday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeated the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs 31-9 to win their second Lombardi Trophy in franchise history. As the confetti dropped, Super Bowl MVP Tom Brady and tight end Rob Gronkowski filmed the tradition “we’re going to Disney World” commercial.

On Monday, Gronkowski was spotted at the “Happiest Place on Earth” and he gave a shoutout to his fans while standing atop a float.

No Super Bowl parade at Disney

Usually, a member of the Super Bowl-winning team participates in a parade down Main Street. But last week, Disney announced that there would be no Super Bowl parade this year to ensure that social distancing guidelines are followed as the coronavirus pandemic continues. The amusement park has not had any parades since it reopened back in July.

Even without the parade, the commercial was still filmed starring Brady and Gronkowski. This is a tradition that has taken place ever since former New York Giants quarterback Phil Simms uttered the words “I’m going to Disney World” following the team’s Super Bowl 21 win over the Denver Broncos.

While there was no parade to participate in, Gronkowski still visited the park to have some fun. Earlier on Monday, a video fo Gronkowski having a lightsaber duel with a young fan. Brady did not make the trip to Disney, but he will do so at a later date.

In Sunday’s win, Gronkowski caught six-of-seven targets from Brady for 67 yards and two touchdowns. The veteran tight end is now the first player in NFL history to catch a pass in five different Super Bowls.

Even without the parade, Gronkowski still found ways to safely make the most out of it.
