1. Amed Rosario

Amed Rosario was one of the players to come to Cleveland in the Lindor trade. So why would he not make the team?

His name has come up in trade rumors since the day he arrived and that may not stop as Spring Training gets underway.

Rosario lost his job to Andres Gimenez last season in New York. That is the same Gimenez who also came to Cleveland in the Lindor trade as the centerpiece for the Indians. Gimenez slots in as the shortstop and Rosario is already the odd man out once again.

One possible scenario is Rosario being the main backup infielder and also potentially getting time in the outfield. However, the Indians may want Jones to get any extra time being that infielder and the outfield is already dealing with a surplus of players.

Ramirez is firmly entrenched at third, Gimenez is at shortstop, and Cesar Hernandez is returning to play second base. Fans also know the long list of names fighting for a spot in the outfield. There are so many players it may push several into the first base slot because of the surplus.

The Indians traded one shortstop and got two in return. Flipping Rosario makes perfect sense when considering he is clearly not in the long-term plans.
