Russell Wilson has come out to complain about the Seahawks protecting him and Walter Jones isn’t a big fan of what he had to say.

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson has made plenty of headlines this week after he’s come out and complained about getting hit too much. In case you missed it, Wilson said that he’s grown frustrated over how often he’s getting hit and sacked.

In other words, he indirectly called out the play of Seattle’s offensive line. At the same time, Wilson also said he needs to play better in order for the pressure to reduce too. Regardless, Hall-of-Fame offensive tackle Walter Jones has responded to Wilson’s latest comments, and the Seattle hero isn’t pleased at all.

Walter Jones let Russell Wilson know how he feels about the quarterback calling out his offensive line

Jones didn’t mince words, as he told Seattle radio host Dave “Softy” Mahler that it would have been best for Wilson to talk with his teammates inside the locker room about his issues instead of talking poorly about their play for the entire world to see.

Since his comments have been made, trade rumors have started to swirl regarding the Super Bowl-champion quarterback. The Seahawks don’t want to trade Wilson, of course, as the superstar signal-caller is the face of the franchise and is without question one of the best players in the game.

With that being said, it sure looks like there’s a bit of a fracture in the Seahawks-Wilson relationship right now. In order for that to be corrected, general manager John Schneider must make protecting Wilson a priority. Should the Seahawks fail to bring in help for the offensive line this offseason, we may continue to hear from Wilson about how unhappy he is.
