Enes Kanter looks like a UFC fighter after taking friendly fire from Robert Covington

Enes Kanter’s face is dripping with sweat, and blood, after this inadvertent hit to the dome.
When Enes Kanter suited up for the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday night, he had no idea teammate Robert Covington was going to make him look like a UFC fighter.
While these Blazers buddies were going up for a rebound, Covington’s elbow accidentally met Kanter’s face. Blood was everywhere and you would have thought Kanter took a trip into the octagon. In the coming weeks, we should expect stitches and an epic basketball gladiator mask. This is all gearing up to Kanter making either his UFC debut or his return to the wrestling ring.

Keanu Reeves once spoke gospel as left-handed quarterback Shane Falco in The Replacements. “Pain heals, chicks dig scars, glory lasts forever.” While Kanter is a tad too tall to play for the Washington Sentinels, he is gonna have a scar worth talking about the next time we can all go to a dive bar for dollar domestics. The crimson really popped dripping onto his red-accented uniform.

The only thing better than Kanter getting into combat sports again is to rock a Rip Hamilton or Ken Dryden mask the next time he plays for the Blazers. We need some petty over-the-top melodrama, you know, to avoid Carmelo Drama on the Blazers bench. It can be a rallying cry for Portland, as they are poised to make some noise in the Western Conference Playoff this summer.
Nobody makes you bleed your own blood unless it is your teammate, so I guess that is cool.
