Georgia football: Demetris Robertson in trouble with the law over parking incident
By John Buhler
Warrants have been issued to Georgia football player Demetris Robertson over allegedly stealing a parking boot.
Wide receiver Demetris Robertson of the Georgia football team is in trouble with the law, as he allegedly stole a parking boot from the East Campus Deck, according to UGA Parking Services.
Robertson’s Georgia tenure has not lived up to expectations as the former California Golden Bears standout transferred to be back in his home state in 2018. The former blue-chip prospect coming out of high is returning to Athens for his sixth college season, hopefully to serve as a veteran leader to a young receiving corps. Well, stealing a parking boot is not what leadership looks like.
Any Georgia alum has stories horror about UGA Parking Services, that is for sure
Look, as a Georgia alum myself, I have had a “relationship” with UGA Parking Services before. It was mutual during my freshman year in 2008-09. However, getting the window busted in on my 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee while I paid to park in one of their lots was a turning point for me. Never again, never again. It was not a war, but it was not exactly a loving relationship after that.
While I never stole a parking boot, I did park at East Campus Deck on the university’s dime because ECV was too far away for me to walk from Milledge Avenue and a man’s gotta eat. As they say in Athens, you gotta let the big dawg eat. It is in our blood that bleeds red and black. So while I do not condone the alleged theft of a parking boot, this is payback for shattered glass in the Russell Lot.
Here is to Robertson having the best super duper senior season in the Classic City as possible.
