Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence gets encouraging update following shoulder surgery
By John Buhler
Trevor Lawrence’s shoulder surgery on his non-throwing arm seems to have gone over well.
Clemson football superstar quarterback Trevor Lawrence had surgery on his non-throwing shoulder Tuesday. His surgery went well and he is expected to make a full recovery in time for training camp.
Lawrence leaves Clemson as one of the greatest NFL Draft prospects at the quarterback position in the modern era. He is slated to be the No. 1 overall pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars in a few months. Lawrence had his pro day at Clemson University, days before his operation. Because this surgery was on his non-throwing arm, it should not be a huge issue for whatever team drafts him.
A healthy Trevor Lawrence is paramount for a rebuilding team like Jacksonville
By having his shoulder surgery in the middle of February and after his pro day, Lawrence only needs to prepare for the interview portion of the 2021 NFL Draft. While he and his camp may think he is destined for Jacksonville, you never know if some other NFL team will give the Jaguars a Godfather offer to go trade up and get him.
Lawrence is already on the mend in mid-February and is expected to be fully recovered in time for training camp this summer.
This post-shoulder surgery update should have the Jaguars even more excited to pick him.
