2021 NFL Mock Draft: Quarterbacks dominate the Top 10, but defense controls the board

The Atlanta Falcons are only a few years removed from representing the NFC in the Super Bowl, so them picking at No. 4 overall shows just how far they have fallen. Since then, they have gotten rid of their head coach and general manager and will look to turn the page into a new era this offseason.
If the team decides to move on from Matt Ryan, there is no way they pass up on Justin Fields here, as he is the third-best quarterback in this draft class. Even if Ryan stays around, Fields could be the pick, giving the franchise a successor to the best quarterback in the history of Atlanta Falcons football.
With the No. 5 overall pick, the Cincinnati Bengals could go several different ways, including trading down a bit for more draft capital. This is a franchise that needs a lot of help, but not at quarterback, as Joe Burrow proved to be a legitimate franchise quarterback as a rookie this past season.
If they do decide to stay at No. 5, they should bring in a player that Burrow is very familiar with, LSU star wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase. The last time we saw Chase he was winning a Super Bowl with Burrow as his quarterback, so why not call for a reunion tour in Cincinnati as the young faces of the franchise.
The Philadelphia Eagles are likely going to move on from Carson Wentz this offseason, as they are waiting on the right package to deal him away in a trade. Regardless of whether or not Wentz is back in 2021, this franchise needs help at wide receiver, and they get a good one here at pick No. 6 overall.
Devonta Smith is fresh off winning a Heisman Trophy for the Alabama Crimson Tide, helping lead them to an undefeated season. In Philadelphia, he would be the top wide receiver on the depth chart as a rookie, giving whoever is under center a legitimate option on the outside for years to come.
