1. Sign Tyson Chandler

Tyson Chandler had a one-year stint with the Lakers in 2018-19 and would be a perfect option to get limited action with Davis out. The Lakers may also be the only team that could convince the 38-year-old to get back on the court.

Chandler was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2001 Draft and is well past the days of his prime. But he is a perfect fit for a team like the Lakers led by LeBron James. He is a veteran who can fit in right away and can simply serve as a force on defense for a small amount of time every game.

Chandler is a seven-footer and what he can do at this point in his career is not a surprise, unlike the case with a player like Henson. The fact he is a former champion and has played with James makes this a great chemistry fit as well.

No Lakers fan would jump up and down with joy if the team signed Chandler. However, the team should be excited by landing him and he could take some of the heat off Gasol with Davis out.

Chandler would also have a good shot of sticking on the roster as he is that perfect end-of-the-roster guy for a deep playoff run.

Anthony Davis’ injury could change the playoff picture. dark. Next
