Notre Dame football: Potential landing spots for Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah in 2021 NFL Draft

Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah is one o the most versatile players in this draft; here are five possible landing spots for the Notre Dame standout.
Before the Arizona Cardinals drafted Isaiah Simmons in the 2020 NFL Draft, a reporter asked him about his role during an interview during the NFL Combine. “Defense,” Simmons would curtly reply. Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah fits that profile as well as any defensive player in this draft.
Owusu-Koramoah thrived in Clark Lea’s hybrid 3-4/4-2-5 defense, playing the ROVER position. This allowed Owusu-Koramoah to use his athleticism to make plays all over the field. Despite not having prototypical linebacker size (6-foot-1 and 215 pounds), the Virginia native proved reliable against both the run and the pass. Lea would also use Owusu-Koramoah as a blitzer.
The Fighting Irish standout showed an ability to play all over the field. There were times where Owusu-Koramoah would line up inside and deep at other times. Owusu-Koramoah is in the mold of the prototypical NFL defender where speed and versatility are valued over size.

Owusu-Koramoah gives Cleveland a versatile plug-and-play option on day one.
Cleveland is the least likely spot for Owusu-Koramoah since he likely will not be around this long. However, Cleveland is in a position unfamiliar to this generation of Browns fans; they can take the best player available. If Owusu-Koramoah is here at pick 26, he’s the best player on the board arguably. Cleveland could go receiver if the rumors about Odell Beckham being on the market are true.
The Moores, Rondale from Purdue and Elijah from Ole Miss, could be here and Cleveland could give Baker Mayfield a speedy yards-after-the-catch sort of receiver the Browns are sorely lacking without Beckham. Cleveland could be in the market for a linebacker if they don’t re-sign BJ Goodson or Malcolm Smith, both of whom are on one-year contracts. However, Cleveland does not invest heavily in the position.
A player the caliber of Owusu-Koramoah, who would give the defense so much versatility might be too tempting to pass up.
