Packers news: Shailene Woodley confirms she’s engaged to Aaron Rodgers (Video)

Actress Shailene Woodley confirmed that she is engaged to Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

While Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers did not make it to the Super Bowl for the second-time of his career this past season, he was rewarded with his third NFL MVP award. During his acceptance speech, Rodgers subtly announced that he was engaged to his girlfriend. That news left everyone wondering if Rodgers proposed to actress Shailene Woodley, whom he has been dating since the pandemic.

During her appearance on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” on Monday Woodley confirmed that the two have been engaged “for a while now.” You can listen to Woodley talk about her upcoming marriage to Rodgers in the clip below.

The couple has been engaged for a while

Prior to Woodley confirming the news, a source close to the couple told People magazine that the two were happy together and that “it’s not surprising that he proposed so fast.”

As for when Rodgers and Woodley will have their wedding, a source told E! News that the two would like it to happen “soon.”

The Packers quarterback is coming off a career-best year. In 16 regular-season games, Rodgers completed 70.7-percent of his passes for 4,299 yards, 48 touchdowns and five interceptions. While the Packers did earn a playoff win in the Divisional Round against the Los Angeles Rams, the team fell to the eventual Super Bowl champions in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC Championship Game. This was the second consecutive year in which Green Bay was eliminated in the Conference Championship.

While the loss had to sting Rodgers, he is obviously happy off the field. He is engaged to Woodley and will wed in the near future. Congratulations to the happy couple.
