2. Myles Gaskin

The Dolphins need a running back. They had only 1,688 yards on the ground, but it took 12 players to get there. The Dolphins seem like they will strategically use the running game to their advantage, but having a bell-cow back will help Brian Flores’ cause. Myles Gaskin has been decent at times, but he’s also been disappointing at others.

Last season, Gaskin rushed for less than 600 yards. He did add 388 yards receiving, but it just wasn’t enough to move the needle for this Dolphins team.

The Dolphins don’t need to move on from Gaskins completely as he fills a role on this roster. However, someone else needs to take the brunt, and then Gaskin can play the role of change-of-pace back.

The draft isn’t as stacked with running back as it has been in the past. However, there are some solid possibilities. Travis Etienne and Najee Harris are obviously the two top choices. Harris could be an interesting choice with one of the Dolphins’ two second-round picks. Jaret Patterson and Chuba Hubbard are interesting middle-round picks.

The Dolphins have used anyone and everyone to rush the ball last season. This season, they will likely stick with two or three options.
