Pick Analysis. . Chicago Bears . 2. Scouting Report. NFC North . player. 57

Everything about Chicago is boom or bust entering 2021. The Bears elected to keep Nagy and Pace another season. They also are hoping that with a postseason under their belt, they can build off that winning style late and transition into the next great NFC roster.

So, why does Trubisky want to return to Chicago? Simple. They might need him as much as he needs them.

The Bears will be selecting 20th this draft season. If they aren’t sold on Mac Jones, why draft a quarterback that could be a bust like the former No.2 pick. Worst of all, Chicago enters March under the salary cap.

But, again, it’s a prove-it year for all involved.

Trubisky with Bill Lazor worked down the stretch. In his final six starts, he also threw for over 200 yards in each game. He also had five multi-passing touchdown games.

Chicago is in a lose-lose situation with or without Trubisky. It might be better if they either steer into the skid and hope he works for another season or steer even more to set themselves up for the top selection in the 2022 NFL Draft.
