Washington Wizards. Cade Cunningham. 2. player. 142. . Wing

Landing at No. 2 is a gift for the Wizards who would happily take Cunningham or Mobley, whichever one falls to them. In this case, they get Cunningham a versatile two-way wing and primary creator who has been absolutely dominant for Oklahoma State. He’s averaging 18.7 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game on a 57.1 true shooting percentage. And those assist numbers undersell the fact that he is by far the most accomplished playmaker and pick-and-roll orchestrator in this class.

He has the size, strength, patience and handle to get anywhere he wants on the floor, and the pull-up jumper, touch, vision and passing creativity to make the most of those spots. He may not be at Luka Doncic’s level, especially as a scorer, but he’s the type of offensive player, but with more defensive upside.

Cunningham would instantly move into the starting lineup for the Wizards, improving their talent at both ends of the floor. He could make things immeasurably easier for Bradley Beal and, along with Deni Avdija and Thomas Bryant, give Washington a core of young, flexible players to push this team back towards contention.
