player. 149. . Forward. Oklahoma City Thunder. Scottie Barnes. 9

Barnes is a unique player, with the size, strength and athleticism of a power forward but the vision and handle of a point guard. There’s not much stretch to his game at this point — he’s hit just 25.8 percent of his 31 attempts from beyond the arc so far this season — but he has good touch around the basket and can create easy opportunities for himself with his awareness, effort and mobility, with and without the ball.

On defense, Barnes projects to be exceptionally switchable and disruptive which makes his offensive skill set even more intriguing. The two-way versatility means he can play in a variety of lineups with a variety of different kinds of players, adjusting to the matchup and always having an advantage to leverage somewhere.

Barnes may not look like a future star, at least not a conventional one, but he could be an ideal complementary piece for a Thunder team that already has Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and a slew of future picks to continue building out the roster.
