LA Clippers forward Paul George struggled against the Milwaukee Bucks, and NBA Twitter let him hear it.
The LA Clippers entered Sunday afternoon’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks with the hope that they could beat the Eastern Conference powerhouse and gain ground on the Utah Jazz in the Western Conference standings. All they needed, realistically, were strong games from Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. That did not happen, especially for the latter.
On Sunday, the Clippers lost 105-100 to the Bucks after a missed 3-point shot by George led to Giannis Antetokounmpo’s emphatic dunk to seal the loss for the Clippers. Of course, considering this is the man who dubbed himself “Playoff P,” George was eviscerated by NBA Twitter.

George’s game to forget
If there was one theme throughout the entire game, it was George’s inability to convert on his shot opportunities. The first tweet above showed just that, as he missed a 3-point shot and a layup chance in a matter of seconds before trying to let off a third attempt that was negated by a shot clock violation.
In 38 minutes of playing time, George tallied 16 points, where he successfully made just 7-of-21 field goal attempts. Things were even worse from long distance for George, as he only made two of his 10 shots from the 3-point line. But he did record 7 rebounds and 7 assists, so at least there’s that?
Meanwhile, Antetokounmpo recorded a double-double with 36-points and 14 rebounds against LA.
The Clippers are now 4-4 in their last eight games and lost second place in the conference standings to the rival Los Angeles Lakers. They will look to get back in the win column once again on Tuesday, when they face the Boston Celtics.
