Tommy Pham was inches away from death after offseason stabbing

San Diego Padres outfielder Tommy Pham revealed he was inches away from dying after being stabbed this offseason at a club in October. 

While Tommy Pham is hoping to have a great 2021 for the San Diego Padres, he’s understandably still trying to mentally overcome being stabbed during the offseason. In case you missed it, the star outfielder was actually stabbed outside of a club in October in a truly scary situation.

Well, as it turns out, Pham was told by doctors that he was inches away from either dying or being paralyzed. Fortunately for him, because of his muscular body, he’s able to talk about this incident and describe how things went down.

This is so incredibly frightening. This stabbing alone is something that will likely haunt Pham forever. On top of that, doctors informing him that he could have passed away from this or never been able to walk again has to add to his anxiety.

Fortunately for Pham, his 6-foot-1, 220-pound frame is quite muscular and it helped save his life in this instance. Pham is getting ready to begin his second season with the Padres, and he’ll have some high expectations for this campaign.

Last year during the shortened 60-game campaign, Pham struggled a little bit at the plate with his .211 average, hitting three homers and adding 12 RBI in 31 games of action. This spring and summer, Padres fans everywhere will be hoping to see him have a bounce-back year.

And when he does take the field and steps up to the plate, he’ll do so overcoming a life-threatening incident. It goes without saying, but San Diego supporters will be cheering him on from start to finish in 2021.
