58. . Quarterback. Washington Commanders. Mac Jones. 19. player

The Washington Football Team plans to move on from Alex Smith this offseason, a perplexing move that seems unnecessary entering the 2021 campaign. Even if he is not the starter, Smith makes sense for any organization, but as they turn the page at the position group, Mac Jones becomes the long-term answer for the team.

Jones is a guy who is starting to be mocked all the way in the top-10 of the 2021 NFL Draft, so he may be long gone by the time the Washington Football Team selects. However, if he is still there, he has the talent to come in and start right away but would have to battle Taylor Heinicke for the job as a rookie, a player who gained a lot of his teammates’ respect last season.

. Offensive Tackle. Chicago Bears. Christian Darrisaw. 20. player. 57

The Chicago Bears have to figure out what they plan to do at the quarterback position this upcoming season, and whether or not they want to extend Mitchell Trubisky. If they do bring him back, they have to improve the offensive line in front of him, and they do so by adding Christian Darrisaw here at pick No. 20.

Many believe that Darrisaw is the second-best offensive tackle in this draft class, so getting him this late in the first round would be a steal for the Bears. This is a team to keep an eye on with the current quarterback carousel, but if they have not made a move entering the draft, trading up could also be a real possibility.

21. player. 46. . Wide Receiver. Indianapolis Colts. Rashod Bateman

The Indianapolis Colts will roll into next season with Carson Wentz as their starting quarterback, and the hope is that he can catch some of that magic he had when he was playing his best in Philadelphia. To get the most out of him, the Colts have to improve at wide receiver, bringing in some talent to team with Michael Pittman Jr.

With this pick, No. 21 overall, the Colts add Rashod Bateman, who ran a blazing 40-yard dash at his Pro Day and should stick in the first round. This is a wideout who can go over the middle, and make plays in the red zone, so he should be a favorite target of Wentz right off the bat at the NFL level.
