So, it may not be football weather, but game day in Southern California sounds great. The weather is great, you get everything that comes with LA living (concerts, bars, sporting events, partying with the rich and famous), and the team is a special brand of football greatness.

The Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum comes with a special kind of history. The feeling fans get when they walk in is like standing within said history. The stadium itself is an experience. Their self nickname “best stadium in the world” does have a reason behind it. It’s the home of World Series games, Super Bowls, and the Olympics.

The marching band is amazing, Traveler, the team’s mascot, welcomes fans inside the coliseum, and that everyone gets to wear red and gold, one of the better color combinations in college football.

The Olympic torch inside the stadium is just plain cool. It gets lit before the fourth quarter of every game. Talk about motivating. Seeing the lighting of a literal Olympic torch helps the stadium hit heights no other stadium can.

In true Los Angeles fashion, the beginning of the game is full of dramatics. The Trojans put a curtain in the front of the tunnel, so fans can watch the team come out on the big board, but the team doesn’t see the fan’s reaction until they walk out. It helps build the intensity of the moment.
