New England Patriots full 2021 NFL mock draft

The New England Patriots just had its first losing record since Bill Belichick’s first year as the team’s head coach way back in the year 2000. That led to the sixth-overall pick, which the Patriots used to take star defensive end, Richard Seymour. They also took star tackle Matt Light in the second round.
This year, they have the 15th-overall pick, and they have higher picks in other rounds to help rebuild this roster. Tom Brady left to win a championship in Tampa, and Belichick was left paying the bill for going all in to win every season. The good news is not only do the Patriots have higher picks than usual, they also have multiple compensatory picks after last year’s free agency period. Tom Brady alone is going to get them a third-round pick.
Most mock drafts have the Patriots sitting at 15 with some game-changing talent available. One player imparticular stands out, and the Pats should sprint (virtually) to Roger Goodell to get this pick in.

Micah Parsons is the kind of talent the Patriots will fall in love with. The last time they picked this high in the draft, they took Jerod Mayo with the 10th-overall pick back in 2008. They got that pick from the New Orleans Saints. Parsons would have a similar type of impact from day one.
Parsons sat out the 2020 season to prepare for the NFL Draft. The Penn State defense went in the tank afterwards, showing the reason impact he had on that team. The first-team All-American in 2019 was all over the field, forcing fumbles, breaking up passes, and getting pressure on the quarterback from the inside linebacker position. The position isn’t as important as the days of Zach Thomas, Tedy Bruschi, and Brian Urlacher, but having a star in the middle of the front seven can change the outlook of a defense.
It’s hard to find someone who stands 6’3 and 244 lbs. that can move from sideline to sideline like Parsons. He’s just insanely fast on the field. On tape, he stands out on almost every play. Parsons is a player many teams will regret letting fall to the hands of Belichick.
