Big Daddy among the best movies filmed in New York City

Was Big Daddy filmed in New York City?

The always outrageous Adam Sandler and the twins from The Suite Life of Zack & Cody (Dylan and Cole Sprouse), were absolutely funny, serious, cool and collective, but overall heartwarming throughout this movie. The majority of the 1999 film took place in NYC, ranging from places like SoHo, Tribeca, Greenwich Village, Yonkers, and Brooklyn.

Although the film is based on a fictional story, it touches on various real-life themes with single parenting, struggles of making it in NYC, and how life can throw a lot at you at once. The film perhaps hasn’t gotten much love thanks to a low score on Rotten Tomatoes, but it’s still an enjoyable and worthwhile movie.

Maybe it’s the New York in me, but with a packed starring cast that includes Leslie Mann, Steve Buscemi, Jon Stewart, Rob Schneider, amongst others, this film has a little bit of everything. Plus, it probably won the hearts of all Jets fans with this infamous bar scene at Blarney Stone on 33rd Street.
