Since announcing his decision to play for the Arizona Cardinals next, 10-year NFL veteran J.J. Watt is still finding new ways to help his body recover.

It’s been a busy several days for former Houston Texans pass rusher J.J. Watt. Just when we thought he was narrowing down his list of potential teams to join in free agency, he dropped the bomb that he had already decided to join Kyler Murray and his former teammate in Texas De’Andre Hopkins on the Arizona Cardinals.

The decision certainly caught NFL fans by surprise and the league is still shifting pieces around in recovery. With the official NFL free agency date of March 17th swiftly approaching, Watt is shaking things up in his offseason recovery strategy as well.

J.J. Watt and his brothers use a frozen lake as an ice bath

NFL players have been getting creative with their offseason workouts this year. Browns star Myles Garrett just recently showed off his 64-inch vertical box jumps and even his basketball skills. Steelers receiver JuJu Smith-Shuster has even been playing tug-of-war with actual lions. Yes, you read that correctly.

Now it looks like J.J. and T.J. Watt are joining in the fun.

After their workout, the defensive menaces took a chainsaw to the frozen lake in their backyard to try to cut out space for an ice bath. I’m assuming there was a shortage of cubes?

I guess that’s one way to take an ice bath. You have to appreciate the guys going the natural route here.

Will this help either gentleman push their teams farther in the playoffs this year? Probably not. Is it wildly entertaining? You bet. Expect a lot more interesting offseason developments as the NFL’s March 17 free agency date swiftly approaches.
