LeBron has an honest answer for why he chose Jazz players last

The All-Star Game is set to take place this weekend with Team LeBron and Team Durant facing off but LeBron is having to explain choosing Jazz players last.

The NBA All-Star Game is happening this weekend in Atlanta, Georgia, and players, coaches, and fans alike are getting prepared for it. On Thursday night, LeBron James and Kevin Durant took the time to select their respective rosters for the game. The starting lineup for Team LeBron will include Giannis Antetokounmpo, Stephen Curry, Luka Doncic, Nikola Jokic and, James. On the other side, Team Durant will start Kyrie Irving, Kawhi Leonard, Joel Embiid, Bradley Beal, and Jayson Tatum.

After making his selections, LeBron and KD got a little backlash for how late they chose some of the Utah Jazz players. The Jazz are currently atop the Western Conference and have the best record in the league at 27-9.

Utah Jazz players selected last by LeBron and Kevin Durant for All-Star teams

With the 11th pick and his final of the evening in the pick-up roster style selection, LeBron selected two-time Defensive Player of the Year and current MVP candidate Rudy Gobert. Durant followed James’ pick by also selecting Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell.

There are obviously a ton of talented players who made the All-Star Game but some found it a little strange that the two players on the best team in the league were chosen last.

James attributed it to the fact that the Jazz just aren’t so popular in NBA culture.

Ouch. That has to hurt to hear for Jazz fans.
