Juventus vs. Porto live stream: Watch Champions League online
By Adam Stocker
Juventus face Porto at Allianz Stadium on Tuesday, March 9. Here’s all the info you need to watch this Champions League match.
The biggest upset in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 first leg was Porto defeating Juventus 2-1. The reigning Portuguese champions travel to Turin’s Allianz Stadium where they will try to eliminate the Italian powerhouse. While Juventus lost, their away goal in the first leg could help them advance if a tiebreaker is required.
Juventus have won the Serie A title nine straight seasons but have come up empty in the Champions League. Andrea Pirlo’s team has picked up 10 points in their last four Serie A games to move into third place, seven points behind Inter Milan. However, even if Juventus come back to win the Scudetto for the 10th season in a row, it will not satisfy the club unless they win the Champions League. Cristiano Ronaldo is having another strong season, scoring 27 goals in 31 games. Juventus will need Ronaldo to deliver another classic Champions League performance if the club is going to advance to the quarterfinal.
Since Nov. 1, Porto have only lost two games in all competitions. In the first leg, the Dragons took advantage of Juventus’ defensive mistakes to get an early lead with a goal from Mehdi Taremi. The Iranian striker has nine goals in all competitions and will play a key role in Porto’s attack along with Sergio Oliveira. Manager Sergio Conceicao would be wise to continue to attack Juventus, who are dealing with several injuries at center-back. If Conceicao allows Juventus to dictate the game, it will not end well for Porto.
