Kyle Brandt says Bears will be Deshaun Watson’s team come Week 1

NFL Network’s Kyle Brandt tells FanSided he hopes Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson will end up being traded to the Chicago Bears this offseason.

The quarterback dominoes continues to fall in the NFL, with the Pittsburgh Steelers bringing back Ben Roethlisberger and Dak Prescott signing his mega-deal on Monday with the Dallas Cowboys.

So, what’s coming up for Deshaun Watson?

The Houston Texans signal-caller wants out of town and there are multiple teams hoping to land his services in the near future. Well, in an interview on FanSided, NFL personality Kyle Brandt, the host of 10 Questions with Kyle Brandt, a podcast on The Ringer Network, told us he believes Watson will be headed to the Chicago Bears.

“Am I a homer? Am I loyal to the 847, the north suburbs? Hell yes I am,” Brandt said to FanSided’s Matt Verderame on the Stacking the Box podcast. “I’m at this point where I just think I don’t care what you have to trade. I don’t care if it’s irresponsible. Trade Khalil Mack, Eddie Jackson, Cody Whitehair, Roquan Smith, the deed to Soldier Field, everything. Just trade it all. I don’t care.

“If the Bears are going to lose, I want them to lose 56-53. For a hundred years, they’ve never had a situation where they’re like ‘man, we have a great quarterback, if only we can build around him,’ I want that situation.”

As you can see, Brandt is passionately hoping for a Texans-Bears trade that sends Watson to the NFC North. Can you imagine how entertaining this move would be? The Bears-Packers showdowns would then feature Watson going up against Aaron Rodgers, where countless points would be scored.

With Prescott inking his new contract, that also wipes off the Dallas Cowboys as a potential destination for Russell Wilson. If the Bears are serious about making a push for a division crown and a Super Bowl run, they’d be wise to go after Wilson or Watson as soon as possible. If you ask Brandt, though, it’s quite clear who he wants general manager Ryan Pace to go after.
