Stephen Curry says he still has ‘a lot to accomplish’ in his career

Stephen Curry didn’t mince words and said he still has a lot to accomplish in his career before he ends up hanging up his sneakers down the road. 

Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry is still in the prime of his career and reminds NBA fans on a daily basis that he’s one of the best shooters we’ve ever seen. He made that much clear over the weekend when he put on a show and captured his second NBA’s 3-Point Contest title.

With three NBA Finals rings and two regular-season MVP awards to his name as well, Curry has brought back so much happiness to the San Francisco/Oakland area. Yet despite all of his success, the future Hall-of-Fame guard isn’t satisfied. Nope, Curry has come out and said he’s still got tons more to get done on the hardwood before he retires.

Ever since arriving to the league in 2009-10, Curry has been a dynamite shooter. He’s only gotten better each year, as he has a career average of 23.8 points per game. He’s also lethal behind 3-point land, as he holds a 43.3 shooting percentage from downtown.

With Curry leading the way for Golden State, they took home the NBA Finals crown in 2015, 2017 and 2018. They reached the NBA Finals in 2016 and 2019 too, but lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers and Toronto Raptors those seasons, respectively.

Looking ahead, Curry has his eyes on more titles and of course would love to take home another MVP honor or two. He won back-to-back MVPs in 2015 and 2016. If Curry were to retire tomorrow, he’d no question be a lock for the Hall of Fame and he’d go down as one of the best players of his generation.

With that said, he’s still only 32 and is driven to keep adding to his legacy. There’s no doubt Curry is always going to be fun to watch.
