7. Tom Brady, former Michigan quarterback

When Tom Brady was drafted by the New England Patriots, he famously told owner Robert Craft that was the best investment that he would make for his franchise. Drew Bledsoe got injured and the rest is history.

Brady never started a full season at Michigan and was drafted in the fifth round by the New England Patriots. Brady used being counted out and looked on as a “developmental” draft pick to fuel arguably the greatest career any football player has ever had.

Seemingly mild-mannered in front of the camera, Brady is as intense a competitor as there is in football. Brady is a masterful motivator who is not afraid to hold teammates accountable for their actions both on and off the field.

The ability to turn the intensity on and off would make him good in front of a camera during an interview. This season proved that Brady understands game-planning and defensive tendencies.

Though Brady is a megastar both in the NFL and in popular culture, yet the future hall of Famer works as hard as any player on the team. What he values about being a good football player would translate to the coach’s room.
