DraftKings THE PLAYERS Championship picks: $6,000 range

Keegan Bradley, $6,900 – Bradley is a guy who can pop in the right moments and a top-10 finish last week — even with a final round 78 — is evidence of that. His iron game is always reliable and he could find something at TPC Sawgrass that makes him a nice value.

Emiliano Grillo, $6,700 – Putting has always been the Achilles heel for Grillo but he’s been passable lately and that has resulted in three top 25s in his last four starts this season. At only $6,700, he has to get a look if you want someone in this range.

Brendan Steele, $6,700 – On the heels of flashing into the top 20 at the API last week, Steele’s ball-striking (the trademark of his game) has come into form. He doesn’t have much win equity at THE PLAYERS but his floor is seemingly high for the price.

Matthew NeSmith, $6,700 – Though he missed the cut last week, NeSmith had three consecutive top-20 finishes prior to that. He’s been striking the ball beautifully and represents one of the best values in the bottom tier.

James Hahn, $6,500 – Hahn is wildly inconsistent, evidenced by two top-15 finishes surrounded by widely missed cuts in his last four starts. But his ball-striking can pop and he has immense upside when it does. That seemingly could fit well here.

Richy Werenski, $6,400 – This is a bit oversimplified but Werenski is just playing well overall. He has only one missed cut in his last seven starts and has four top-25 finishes and a top-five last week over that span as well.

Jhonattan Vegas, $6,300 – Vegas finished third at THE PLAYERS Championship in 2019 and is a guy who can simply pop up. A recent second-place finish at Puerto Rico could buoy him to another strong showing at Sawgrass.

Tyler Duncan, $6,100 – Look, Duncan’s finishes aren’t going to inspire you and he’s missed more cuts than he’s made this season. But he has two-straight made cuts and has played well with his irons, which might make him a bottom-of-the-barrel play if you need it.
