Giannis Antetokounmpo offers some incredibly high praise for LeBron James
Coming off of his All-Star Game win and MVP selection with Team LeBron, Giannis Antetokounmpo is still speaking highly of LeBron James.
Giannis Antetokounmpo added another award to his chest on Sunday evening when he was selected as the MVP of the 2021 NBA All-Star Game. The Greek Freak didn’t miss a single shot in 16 attempts and finished with 35 points and 7 rebounds. He helped bring Team LeBron to the All-Star Game victory that he foreshadowed days before with some aggressive trash talk.
The Bucks’ season will pick back up on Thursday when they meet the surging New York Knicks. Meanwhile, the Lakers won’t resume play until Friday, giving them an extra day or two than most other teams have. NBA fans know how important these extra days of rest will be for James, who at 36-years-old has had to shoulder most of the weight this season for Los Angeles in Anthony Davis’s absence.
Giannis Antetokounmpo thinks LeBron James’s consistency is remarkable
The Lakers will get back to work against the Indiana Pacers on Friday evening. LeBron James only played 13 minutes during the All-Star Game and has been vocal about looking forward to getting rest.
Antetokounmpo thinks that it’s amazing that James has maintained this level of excellence for almost 20 years.
“He’s been consistent for 18 years,” Antetokounmpo said. “He’s always there. He’s always showing up. He’s unbelievable. He obviously gets credit but I think we’ve got to give him even more credit. Doing it for 18 years, guys, that’s hard.”
The two-time MVP obviously appreciates all that the King is still bringing to the game. Can LeBron do enough to get the Lakers back to the Western Conference Finals?
