Reports surfaced Wednesday that the New England Patriots had received calls for WR N’Keal Harry as NFL trade rumors swirl .

Two years removed from being chosen in the first-round of the 2019 NFL Draft, New England Patriots wide receiver N’Keal Harry is the subject of NFL trade rumors ahead of the new league-year beginning.

Harry, 6-foot-3 and 216 pounds, has flashed moments of tantalizing potential but has yet to live up to his first-round billing.

Some around the league wonder if he ever will.

“He has the size and is more of a possession receiver than anything,” an NFL personnel executive tells FanSided, on the condition of anonymity to speak freely about a player on another team. “I worry about how he’s wired when it comes to football and his maturity level. I’ve never really trusted him as being a ‘DAWG’ and doing that little bit extra to get a little bit better.”

Through the first two seasons of his career, Harry has caught 45 passes for 414 yards and four touchdowns. Pro Football Focus lists Harry as the No. 115 ranked wide receiver in the NFL, so any team is going to need to weigh their pre-draft evaluations and belief of his potential against a disappointing start to his pro career.

“I think he’s an underachiever,” the executive added.

Can a team change that in their system and their culture?

As a former first-round pick, some team will certainly try, with Harry.

3) Green Bay Packers

For the second consecutive year, the Green Bay Packers saw their season end in the NFC Championship Game, when the skill-players around Aaron Rodgers wilted around the veteran quarterback

Green Bay will desperately aim to upgrade the receiving corps Rodgers has to work with this offseason. Despite opting to take quarterback Jordan Love in the first-round last spring, don’t be surprised if the Packers are among the teams beating down the door to pry away Harry this offseason.

Pro Football Focus charged Harry with just two drops last season, which is exactly the kind of consistency the Packers need in a complement to DeVante Addams and Allen Lazard.
