Pick Analysis. 59. player. Scouting Report. Safety. Syracuse. Andre Cisco. 53

Andrew Sendejo and Karl Joseph are both headed for free agency which leaves the Browns in need of a safety in this year’s draft. If Cleveland is going to spend a pick on the safety position, they should be looking for a guy who can upgrade their starting lineup.

Cisco profiles as just that sort of prospect at the free safety spot. He’s got exceptional speed and ball skills for the position. He’s the sort of defensive back that opposing quarterbacks will naturally shy away from throwing the ball towards over time.

The problem with Cisco’s Syracuse tape is that he hunts the big play far too often. The Browns coaching staff will need to coach some conservatism into his game. Sometimes Cisco needs to understand that making the routine play is more than adequate.

If Cisco can iron those inconsistencies out of his game he’s got a chance to turn into a perennial Pro Bowler. He could turn into the ideal finishing piece to the Browns’ young secondary. Cleveland should lock him on him towards the bottom of Round 2.
