Las Vegas Raiders full 2021 NFL mock draft
Gruden can only go so long without finding an offensive weapon to draft. Adams is a big, nasty wide receiver who uses his size and leaping ability to make big plays down the field. He lacks the speed to do much on short routes, but he’s a good fit for Las’ Vegas downfield passing attack.
Bradley’s preference to use cover-3 means the Raiders should be in the market for more safety help this offseason. Hamlin’s lack of instincts prevents him from being an elite prospect, but he’s got good size and athleticism for the position.
At worst, the former Pittsburgh star can help Las Vegas on special teams. At best, he becomes a decent starter who fits in nicely alongside two more athletic safeties at the back of Bradley’s defense. That’s good value in Round 6.
Round 7 is all for taking chances on players that have a chance to develop into quality starters. Jackson is far from a finished product as an edge rusher, but the hand power he shows at the point of attack gives him an interesting quality to build on.
He should be able to give Gruden and his staff a young player to bring along slowly at defensive end. There’s a chance he washes out of the league completely, but the odds of him becoming a quality starter are pretty high for a seventh-round pick.
