Tom Brady took to Twitter to send an awesome message to Drew Brees after the Saints quarterback announced he’s retiring from the game.

As you might imagine, folks all over social media are showing former New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees with messages. That’s right, he’s now got the ‘former’ title to his name, as the legendary signal-caller announced on Sunday that he’s officially retiring from the NFL.

For the past 20 years, Brees has been one of the best quarterbacks out there. That’s why it should come as no surprise that the GOAT himself Tom Brady had no choice but to send him some love on Twitter as well following the day’s big news.

While Brees’ decision took a little bit longer than expected, the strong belief out there was that he wouldn’t return for the 2021 campaign. Brees’ last game came in the 2020-21 postseason, with Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers ending the Saints’ season in the Divisional Round.

After that game, Brady and Brees were seen embracing well after the final whistle, with Brady even playing catch with Brees’ kids. It was a heartwarming moment. The two have become incredibly close over the years, with them making unreal plays on the field for fans to enjoy.

For Brees, there’s no question he’s headed to Canton down the road and the exact same can be said for Brady, who just won his seventh Super Bowl ring in February after helping the Buccaneers take down the Kansas City Chiefs.

Come next season, Brady will look to bring home title No. 8. Brees on the other hand will be enjoying some much-deserved time off with his family.
