Warriors: Even on 1 leg, Klay Thompson is draining 3s before Warriors game (Video)
As the Golden State Warriors anticipate his return, Klay Thompson was seen knocking down 3-pointers off one leg before their game against the Utah Jazz.
The Golden State Warriors got a bit of good news regarding Klay Thompson’s Achilles injury recovery on Sunday afternoon. The three-time NBA champion has missed this entire season and the Dubs have severely missed his presence.
The Warriors are currently 19-19 and they aren’t playing their best basketball. Stephen Curry has been shouldering most of the load this season and has had to try to personally inspire his squad to get it going. The Warriors were in the playoff picture until recently and are in the middle of a four-game losing streak.
They matched up with the Utah Jazz on Sunday afternoon, but before the game, Thompson chose to remind NBA fans what kind of wizardry he’s capable of.
Klay Thomson provides injury update, sinks one-legged threes before Warriors game
On Sunday, Thompson spoke to Warriors and NBC reporter Kendra Andrews about his injury and provided an estimated return date. With the announcement that he hopes to be ready by the start of next season, Thompson chose to get some shots up before the Warriors’ matchup with the Jazz.
Careful not to put his injured leg in any more danger, Thompson was caught getting a few shots up off one leg during the Dubs’ pregame warmup.
It’s so good to see the other Splash Brother out there, even if he isn’t back at full strength yet.
Golden State is 1.5 games behind the Dallas Mavericks and need to correct their current slump if they hope to be in a position to play-in for a playoff spot in the grueling Western Conference.
