While Stephen Curry is definitely one of the greatest shooters we’ve ever seen, Reggie Miller thinks he could’ve outshot him in his prime.

The Golden State Warriors are getting yet another legendary season from superstar Stephen Curry.  The seven-time NBA All-Star is single-handedly keeping Dub Nation afloat averaging almost 30 points per game on top of six rebounds and five assists.

The Warriors, are, however, having a hard time replacing the scoring of Curry’s ‘Splash Brother’ Klay Thompson. While Thompson hopes to be ready to go by the start of next season, Golden State and Curry need to figure how to make the playoffs this year.

The Warriors are currently 20-19 and trail the Dallas Mavericks by one game for the eighth spot in the Western Conference. They’re only relevant because Curry is shooting the ball almost as well as he did in his unanimous MVP season.

Curry inserted himself into the all-time great shooter conversation a couple of years ago but now another legend thinks he could’ve given him a run for his money in his prime.

Reggie Miller says Stephen Curry is the greatest shooter of all time; thinks he could’ve outshot him in his prime.

On the way to his three championships, Curry has given NBA fans some of the most incredible shooting performances the game has ever seen. On top of his obvious scoring ability, he has changed the way the game is played. Never before have we seen players pulling up from near halfcourt fully expecting to make the shot. Youth coaches everywhere can thank him for that.

Still, NBA legend-turned-analyst Reggie Miller thinks he could’ve shot with Curry in his heyday. Miller spoke with FanSided’s Patrick Schmidt, as part of a promotional tour for Wendy’s being the official breakfast of March Madness, about the future Hall of Fame Warrior.

“I would put my right arm against anyone in the history of the game, in my prime, but I’m sure if you asked Craig Hodges, Larry Bird, Dale Ellis, they would say the same thing,” said Miller. “We’re very proud of our workout routines. Steph Curry is the best shooter this game has ever seen. But I put my right arm against anyone in my prime. That’s just the cockiness in me coming out. But you ask any shooter, they would believe the same thing as well.”

Spoken like any true competitor.

Do you think Miller could go toe-to-toe with Curry?
