The Seattle Seahawks have stuck it to the Los Angeles Rams by signing tight end Gerald Everett, who was fired up about things on Twitter.

In an offseason that’s been filled with nothing but stress and anxiety for Seattle Seahawks fans, some good news has made its way to town on Tuesday afternoon. And in the process, that news is also sticking it to the Los Angeles Rams.

That’s because Seattle has a new tight end, with former Ram Gerald Everett taking to Twitter to announce he’ll be headed to town to catch balls from Russell Wilson. Oh and if you live in LA, Everett’s latest tweet surely isn’t going to make you happy.

Gerald Everett signing with the Seattle Seahawks must sting for the LA Rams

Everett clearly could not be more fired up to be heading to Seattle, with his tweet already winning over countless Seahawks fans. Meanwhile for the Rams, the absolute last thing they wanted to see was the 26-year-old pass-catcher join the team’s most-hated rival.

Everett is coming off a career year for the Rams in which he hauled in 41 balls for 417 yards. According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Everett’s deal with Seattle is for one year and $6 million. John Schneider and Seattle had been in the market for a new tight end, with Greg Olsen announcing his retirement earlier this offseason.

Now, Wilson will have a new weapon for the offense, while Everett also does a great job with his blocking. Everyone knows about Wilson complaining about the team protecting him, so maybe Everett can make a difference here in that department as well. With it only being a one-year deal, Everett will look to prove his worth and potentially land a bigger contract at this time next winter.
