LAS VEGAS, NEVADA – NOVEMBER 15: Center Rodney Hudson #61 of the Las Vegas Raiders warms up before a game against the Denver Broncos at Allegiant Stadium on November 15, 2020 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Raiders defeated the Broncos 37-12. (Photo by Ethan Miller/Getty Images) /

3. Rodney Hudson

Hudson is another guy who lands on this list after being unexpectedly cut by his last team. Trying to understand the Raiders’ personnel moves is always challenging, but their decision to let Hudson walk away for nothing is perplexing even by Jon Gruden’s lofty standards.

Las Vegas’ mistake will allow some enterprising team to land a new high-quality starter at the center position. He is unquestionably one of the best pass-blocking centers in football. Hudson also happens to be an underrated run blocker due to his prowess in the passing game.

Add that up and it makes him a very intriguing free agent for teams looking to stabilize their offensive lines. A Super Bowl contender like the Chiefs could be positioned to make him a very attractive offer in the coming days.

Signing a 31-year-old center isn’t going to win many headlines, but it could help a quality team win more games in 2021. Don’t be surprised if Hudson gets snapped up sooner than most people think on a lucrative multi-year deal.
