It turns out the Eagles are interested in trading for Deshaun Watson

One team who could be in the mix to trade for Houston Texans starting quarterback Deshaun Watson is the Philadelphia Eagles.
Even as the lawsuits start to mount, it has not stopped the Philadelphia Eagles from being reportedly interested in trading for Houston Texans starting quarterback Deshaun Watson. The Eagles have a new head coach in Nick Sirianni and are coming off a frustrating 4-11-1 2020 NFL season.
Aaron Wilson of The Houston Chronicle reported of the Eagles’ supposed interest in the Texans franchise quarterback. Watson has been dissatisfied with how things are going in the Texans organization. While it has been an entire offseason narrative, new ones developing around sexual misconduct have certainly complicated things of late. All the while, the Eagles remain interested.
Eagles interested in trading for Deshaun Watson
Philadelphia has the No. 6 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. While the Eagles could take a quarterback with their top-10 selection, they could also use it as a viable trade asset to get Watson to the City of Brotherly Love. They will probably have to part ways with second-year pro Jalen Hurts, who could compete for playing time with Tyrod Taylor on the 2021 Texans roster.
This move would change the dynamic in the NFC East for sure. Watson would become the best quarterback in the division and the rebuilding Eagles might stand a shot at contending for an NFC East crown in the worst division in football. Because Hurts is an unproven product at the NFL level, it could make sense for the Eagles to be a potential trade partner with the Texans for Watson.
If Watson were to go to the Eagles, he can be the quarterback to get them back to the Super Bowl.
