2. Caleb Farley, CB, Virginia Tech

Some readers may see the name Caleb Farley and see where he played his college football and wonder why he is ranked higher than Surtain out of the SEC and Alabama.

Fair, but also a bit lazy. Just because Farley played in the ACC for Virginia Tech does not mean he cannot develop in the NFL. In fact, The Draft Network seems to be rather high on the former Hokie.

Farley is a taller corner, standing at 6-foot 2-inches tall with a solid frame. During his sophomore season in 2019, he had four interceptions with 12 passes defended. He projects as a man-to-man corner in the NFL, which is mostly always a welcome sight for defensive coordinators.

There is some injury concern with Farley, as he tore his ACL before college and had to deal with back issues in 2019. Although, he bounced back from the ACL and played well. He did not suit up for the 2020 season as he decided to opt-out and ready for the NFL.

Right now, it seems to be a battle between Farley and Surtain as to who is deemed the highest-ranked corner in this upcoming draft. Luckily for the Cowboys, Jerry Jones may have the luxury of choosing between the two at pick 10.

As mentioned before in the slide about Surtain; Awuzie and Lewis will be free agents this offseason. Bringing back Lewis may occur, but it may be financially tighter to bring back Awuzie.

Even if both players are back, Farley still should be an option. He would pair with Diggs and form a young duo at corner that boasts high potential.
