Round 4

Pick Analysis. S. 114. player. Scouting Report. Syracuse. Andre Cisco. 45

Going into last season, Andre Cisco was expecting to fly up draft boards as one of the most talented safeties on the board. He’s always had a nose for the ball, and that turned into turnovers more often than not.

The issue with Cisco is his final season in college ended with a torn ACL. That’s a bad look going into the NFL Draft. Elway and the Broncos are going to look at great values here, and looking at players who might have some question marks despite top-tier talent would be a good start in the later rounds. Cisco is exactly that. Take a chance on a player with an injury after a very productive college career.

Cisco would have been drafted much higher if it weren’t for his injury. There’s an outside chance he could have proven himself to be an 1st rounder. However, he did get injured early last season, so he should be ready for the beginning of training camp. That is a good sign for the Broncos.

Cisco is someone who, when healthy, could jump right into the Broncos lineup. Kareem Jackson and Justin Simmons are an elite safety duo, but Cisco could take some pressure off during nickel and dime packages. Then, he could eventually take over if one decides to leave in the future.
