Lakers fans were irate with Hawks forward Solomon Hill after his dive for the ball injured LeBron James, who is now out indefinitely.
The Lakers suffered two losses on Saturday. The first was in their game with the Atlanta Hawks, falling 99-94 on the court. The second was in the training room when an MRI revealed LeBron James suffered a high ankle sprain and will be out indefinitely.
To say that Lakers fans were unhappy with the injury would be an understatement.

Some took it further than others.
Conspiracy theories relating to Hill’s defense of Michael Jordan as the greatest player ever cropped up too.
Montrezl Harrell didn’t exactly throw water on the fire when he commented on the play after the game. He felt it wasn’t a basketball move.
Lakers fans had some NSFW things to say directly to Hill on Instagram.

Hill himself responded to the heat he was taking, confirming it was probably even worse in his DMs.
Was it a dirty play from Hill? It’s all about perspective. Many Lakers fans think Hill had no business diving in for the ball like that.
Fans from around the league weren’t exactly having it.

The video isn’t clear. It’s just as easy to look at it and conclude Hill had no control over his body as it caught James’ leg under him. Sometimes these things happen in basketball. The league will have to decide if the play warrants punishment or not.
LeBron was all about positivity when he jumped on social media to discuss the injury.
