The Packers want to give Aaron Rodgers a chance to win a Super Bowl in 2021. Will they help the HOF quarterback by drafting a wide receiver in Round 1?

Aaron Rodgers gives the Packers a chance to win a Super Bowl championship as long as he continues to play at a high level. Fans in Green Bay know their front office needs to give the talented quarterback more support to achieve that goal in 2021.

The team’s apparent disinterest in drafting a wide receiver to help Rodgers in 2020 dumbfounded fans and media members alike. It wouldn’t be at all surprising to see Green Bay correct that mistake at No. 29 in this year’s draft. Quite a few intriguing options should be on the board when the Packers go on the clock.

Green Bay’s reported pursuit of J.J. Watt in free agency underscores the team’s need to improve their pass rush as well. Edge rusher is another spot where the Packers might find good value at the bottom of Round 1.

The bottom line is that Green Bay’s front office needs to add a guy capable of helping them right away with their first round pick. Packers fans should keep a close eye on the following five prospects.

5. Travis Etienne

Aaron Jones looks like he will leave Green Bay in free agency which leaves the team short of options at running back. Last year’s second round pick A.J. Dillon should soak up plenty of carries, but he doesn’t project as a big-play guy in the passing game.

Eitenne made plenty of big catches for Clemson from his spot in the backfield. He projects to be a high-level contributor as an NFL rookie. The Packers should think long and hard about spending another high pick on the running back position, but Etienne would be an excellent fit in Matt LaFleur’s offense.
